This official court calendar, bound with the royal almanac, celebrates the year 1784 and the fame of hot air ballooning. It has the same cover stamp as the Almanach Royal, which depicts two individuals, Jacques-Alexandre-César Charles (1746-1823) and Marie-Noël Robert (1760-1820), collaborators in developing the world’s first hydrogen balloon.
