Written by Giovanni Antonio Tagliente, Italian, Venice ca. 1465-1527 Venice, published by Giovanantonio e i fratelli da Sabbio Venice.
From top to bottom, and left to right:
Design composed of 4 horizontal registers. Top register is decorated with 2 different types of 4-petaled flowers connected together by diamonds to form diagonal lines. 2nd register is decorated with Moresque motif of flowers and intertwining vines. 3rd register is decorated with various circles linked together by short horizontal bands; coiling around these circles are vines with flowers. Bottom register is divided into 2 sections: left one with man’s face flanked on either side with vine and leaves, and right one is decorated with flowers.
