Description
-
Design for a frieze filled with a meandering acanthus scroll and various figures. On the right of the frieze a figure group is depicted. The main figure in the group is a female hybrid creature based on a centaur. She has wings for arms and her lower body morphs into the acanthus scroll behind her. Near her are two putti of which one is drinking from her breast. Interspersed between the acanthus scrolls are two more putti, an eagle, a snake, and a wolf-like creature.
