Description
-
Design for a horizontal panel with a meandering rinceau. On the left, within the large acanthus scroll a male figure whose lower body morphs into the rinceau is depicted from the side, blowing a long horn. Resting on the rinceau on the right is a putto. Right above his head a snake with a bird-like face is placed. On the verso preliminary sketsches for acanthus scrolls in leadpoint are visible.
