Description
-
Arranged in the ornamental band are two three-part figural subjects, with solar rosettes and paired birds as subsidiary motifs. The frontal panel displays a double-headed eagle combined with two vertically arranged anthropomorphic figures, these are flanked by large confronted peacocks. The ornamentation at the back features peacock foreparts on either side of a blossoming Tree of Life. The compositions are separated by two blossoming trees. The repeat pattern of the outer border is of a geometrical character.
