The principal pattern is formed by large saltire crosses filled with a regular net of minor diamond-forms; set in the interspaces are large four-petalled rosettes. The ornamental band is enclosed by narrow borders containing rows of pectinate diamonds, saltire crosses and geometrized anthropomorphic and plant subjects.
