Description
-
This silk quilt is both pieced and appliqued. Each lead-gray diamond-shaped block is decorated with either a quilted epergne or a basket onto which velvet fruits and flowers have been appliquéd. The blocks are separated by sashing of brightly colored plaid taffeta. The back is made from white silk and has an appliqued block at each corner.
